Re: Team v Villa
This will be the first Boxing Day game I've been to for several years and I think I might take my boots along as I'll probably get half-an-hour based on the potential line up that I've seen.

We'll do well not to get beat, in all honesty.

Antonio Noble Zarate
Valencia Jelavic

Disappointed with Kouyate recently, would like to see more balanced wing back work so bring Jenkinson back in, tempted to see Noble at head of a diamond formation to see the benefit or either being available to/ or playing in the midfield / attack. jelavic's first full run-out last week, a front pairing with Valencia as we had last season with Sakho could see two players up front benefitting from overlapping full backs deep crosses.

Re: Team v Villa
TBF CARTERS, he's got the 'Rio' look that he can switch positions when required (my opinion of course)

But, for as good as he was v AFC, Leciester run him ragged.

ONE MAC,
Perhaps I'm wrong, but did he not play in front of the back four against Arsenal.
Personally, but, from afar,Africa, this kid looks like he could play anywhere.
Meybe even right back.
I honestly think that what I have seen of him and the way he is " talked up" he is the next great Academy product.

Really good read this thread.

Personally, I'd drop Kayoute for Obiang as (my SECOND) favourite player has been below par recently. As a sub I think he could do damage with 20 mins too.

''Villa's defence are vunerable against pace of those three. Jelavic will slow the game down''

Fear not. According to wisdom on here we can and should change our gameplan to suit Jelavic if he plays.

Spot on NSD.
Villa's defence are vunerable against pace of those three.
Jelavic will slow the game down.
Kouyate can support them too when needed.

I dont think I'd give Antonio another chance but we may not have much choice.

Another draw or a loss nailed on for me.

Re: Team v Villa
I like Tomkins he plays well but he is not really an attacking threat down his side against Villa maybe Jenkinson if he can get some of his form back.
As everything goes down cresswells side otherwise makes us a bit one dimensional...

I think Obiang deserves a spot so we could replace Antonio with him. But we also need to have some attacking threat and pace so will stick with Antonio.

Re: Team v Villa
Noooo not Jelavic. Sad to see him blowing out of his arse up top whilst defenders ran past him with ease. Still probably no worse than Carroll.

Valencia up top please Slaven.

It's a real shame you can't grasp the most simple of points isn't it.

What I said is Jelavic is better in a front TWO, so considering Bilic was the manager that brought him, if he wants to play Jelavic and get the best from him he would surely need to change his system as he's not suited to the system Bilic played in Wales.

Now that's very different from saying I think against Villa that's what should happen, because I have posted my team on this very thread and it doesn't included Jelavic.

Do you not believe that when a manager buys a player and plays them he should be playing to the players strengths then?

Private Dancer 7:01 Wed Dec 23
Re: Team v Villa
I'm not lying though, that is exactly what you was insinuating, playing to Jelavic's strenghs, whatever the fuck they are, but you're entitled to your opinion, so what's the problem.

You have this habit of telling people that you didn't say that if they don't quote you exactly, you twist everything to suit you.

Re: Team v Villa
"I agree Davies not sure croe does though."

13, there's another sad little cunt that makes things up

Well that's unless he can point out where I have said Oxford should start over Obiang which I haven't so he won't be able to.

Pathetic tossrag
